The balance of right and wrong is an integral part of our mind; somewhere down the journey of life we bury the right and the good in a zone that is hard to hear or understand. Mind harps on our immediate desires and shows us directions that are not supported by positive thinking. The expectation from the desires is intense and fulfilling those desires take a toll on our lives.
The stored knowledge in the conscience reminds us of our goal of happiness but the whispers are seldom heard. Rituals of nature reflects the glimpse of the almighty; droplets of rain, opening petals of the flower, red rays of the sun, coolness of the moon, mighty mountains take us to the world of peace and harmony. There are no false perceptions in nature. There is an order in nature so there has to be an order in human behaviour.
Changing season does not affect the world at large; human emotions seem to toss our minds in to chaos. People blame the objects in the world for their mistaken perception; money as an object has value, it is not evil; what makes it seem bad is the utilization of that object by man. When we value money and power as the symbol of success and happiness where can you find peace of mind?
The conscience keeps reminding us of our real self and the mind drags us in different directions. Technology is not bad, it is the most wonderful thing man has discovered but the usage of machines has isolated human beings. The only communication we have is through face book, what app, emails and messages so we keep staring at the gadget to be loved and understood! The voice of the real self or conscience is never heard.
Our success story makes us believe that peace and happiness come from bank balance, social recognition, fame new home, fancy car and imaginary status. Our inner self cannot take the pressure of the mind which is based on wrong value system. For example-human being seem different in different parts of the world; their colour, language, diction and customs are all varied.
However humans are all the same under the skin and blood vessels. The mind ordains the confusion and conflict by projecting external appearance. We have to make choices at every moment of our lives with an evenness of mind and total integrity. One has to develop courage to effectively live in this world. Courage comes as a result of knowing there are principles of fulfilling our needs and capacities in a balanced way. Pride is another obstacle to progress; people become competitive and wish to rise above others at all times. It gets manifested in ways of gossip, blame, malicious behaviour, envy, unforgiving, withholding praise and gratitude that might make others feel good.
The cry of competition is louder than the whisper of conscience. How much time do we spend on worrying over other s possessions? Where can we find peace? We are not an island, our quality of life is connected with others on this earth, which means not competing but contributing.
Merely conducting rallies and debates on violence one cannot achieve peace. Our voice has to be heard by the universal conscience of the people. When there is no inner fragrance, one will stink of hatred, anger and lust that destroy all relationships.
One can remain a seed, it is safe, no growth and one is dead. Starting to live means to face different challenges; it is only a matter of listening to your conscience.
