Essa bin Mohammed Al Zedjali
Born in Muscat in 1939.
February 1956 - March 1957: Administration In-charge at Petroleum Development of Oman's office in Fahud, Oman.
June 1957 - May 1958: Insurance Officer at M/S Gray Mackenzie & Co. Ltd, Muscat.
June 1959 - September 1968: Head of Archives Department at Ministry of Post, Telephone and Telegraph, Government of Kuwait.
October 1968 - January 1971: Secretary to the Department (now ministry) of Petroleum & Minerals, Government of Abu Dhabi, UAE.
February 1972 - December 1975: Director of Administration, Finance Consular Affairs, Protocol, Security & Coding Department at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sultanate of Oman.
December 1975 - May 1979: First Consul General of Sultanate of Oman to Bombay, India.
June 1979 - March 1983: Chief of Administration and Finance Department at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sultanate of Oman.
March 1983: Resigned from Foreign Service to look after own business.
Member of World Association of Newspapers (WAN) since 2000.
Member of Gulf Press Union, HQ in Bahrain.
Incumbent Vice-Chairman of Oman Press Club.
Had been Member of Consultative Council (now Majlis Al Shura) for two terms of four years each.
Member Board of Directors, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) from 1984 to 1994.
Member of Commercial Dispute Committee led by the Undersecretary of Ministry of Commerce & Industry from 1984 to 1994.
Also served on the Board of Directors of the following companies/institutions: Oman Arab Bank; Bank of Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait; Oman National Gas; Oman Sun Farms; Al Ahlia Insurance Company; Oman International Investment Company (Ominvest).
Had also been member of Anti-Communist League, a private world organisation.
