Muscat: As a tribute to passionate football fans and the world's grandest sporting event, Fifa World Cup Brazil 2014, Times of Oman has come out with a unique graphic supplement which gives its readers an opportunity to construct a real size collectible football.
As the readers construct the 3D football, they will be able to read, discover and enjoy the history of the 32 competing teams through data sets assembled in three-dimensional paper pyramids. Each spread of the team profile contains the template that readers can cut, paste and piece together to form the ball.
Jam-packed with information, the do-it-yourself football is something any ardent fan can treasure forever. Dedicating the concept to the quintessential football fan, Adonis Durado, chief creative officer, Design and Product Development, Times of Oman, said, "My creative team wanted to bring in an element of fun and interactivity to the idea that took us months to create."
The supplement that is being distributed through the paper will have 64 pages as each national team is allocated a spread (32 teams x 2 pages).
The spread contains the team profile and historical data such as summary of the matches, goals, ranking, top players, etc. This also includes the template of the basic element of the ball that, when cut and glued, will resemble a truncated pyramid.
Make sure you have fun assembling and comparing statistics. And just in case you might have missed an issue, download it from our website: timesofoman.com/fifaworldcup
