Muscat: Seven screen Vox Cinemas finally opened at City Centre Qurum this week. VOX Cinemas, which opened its first ever cinema in City Centre Muscat earlier this month, is bringing the latest in digital cinema technology to Qurum's residents, including Oman's largest screen at 18-metres, presented in the big-screen VOX MAX concept.

With a combined 17 screens across City Centre malls now open, movie-goers are spoiled for choice with two premium-feel cinemas, offering more choice, convenience and screenings. "Marking a pivotal milestone in the redevelopment of City Centre Qurum, VOX Cinemas is a key addition to our entertainment offer, attracting young and mature visitors alike who wish to enjoy an ultimate movie-going experience," said Watfa Humaid Al Harthy, Senior Mall Manager for City Centre Qurum.

With much anticipation leading up to the summer blockbuster season, Qurum residents will now be able to watch their favourite movies in a number of convenient ways – in Standard 2D, 3D, in VIP seats or on the mega-screen VOX MAX concept, which boasts an expansive 18-metre screen and bright, crisp sound with Dolby® Atmos™ surround sound technology.

"Following the hugely successful launch of VOX Cinemas at City Centre Muscat, residents will be spoiled for choice with a second VOX Cinemas opening at City Centre Qurum. With a total of 17-screens now open for Omani residents, movie-goers will have access to two convenient locations across the city," said Cameron Mitchell, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim – Cinemas.

VOX Cinemas at City Centre Qurum offers a variety of screens including Standard, VOX MAX and VOX 3D options, and thus more movie titles and sessions to choose from.

For VIP treatment, there are more spacious seat options along with a gourmet-style menu featuring crepes, fresh juices, salads, sandwiches, French fries, coffees, muffins and gourmet popcorn to complement the traditional cinema fare. Movie-goers can book their tickets in advance using the VOX Cinemas website, onsite at ticketing kiosks, or via the brand new smart phone applications.
