His Majesty orders postponement of the Council of Ministers' decision

The Diwan of Royal Court on Wednesday issued a statement that reads as follows: "Within the framework of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said's keenness to identify and follow up the needs of his loyal subjects and as a response from His Majesty the Sultan to the proposal made by the Majlis Al Shura about the decision issued by the Public Authority for Consumer Protection on June 15 about the ban on increasing prices of certain basic commodities.
His Majesty has ordered the postponement of the aforesaid decision till the economic laws regularising the market shall be issued (the Consumer Protection Law, the Commercial Agencies Law and the Competition and Anti-Monopoly Law". May Allah the Almighty protect His Majesty, bestow blessings on him and grant him good health and wellbeing.
