On the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Bait Al Zubair announced it will remain open for visitors from Saturday to Thursday from 9:30am to 2:30pm.
The museum will resume normal opening hours from 9:30am to 6pm beginning on the second day of Eid Al Fitr.
Paul Doubleday, general manager of Bait Al Zubair Foundation said, "We look forward to welcoming guests during Ramadan and invite them to discover Oman's traditional heritage, as well as the contemporary art scene.
"During the holy month, we will be hosting several Iftar events for different groups and companies, as they enjoy the contemporary and traditional settings that are available within Bait Al Zubair. We wish everyone grace and blessing in this holy month." On the 14th evening of Ramadan, Bait Al Zubair will be hosting a special event for children called Qaranqashow. It is a time when children visit neighbourhood houses, singing special songs and receiving sweets. Over the last few years, Qaranqashow night has become a popular attraction at Bait Al Zubair, and over 2,000 children are expected to visit this year.
The event has been made possible courtesy the sponsorship and support of The Zubair Corporation.
