Muscat: For the first time in the Sultanate, young children aged between 4-12 years will get an opportunity to indulge in various adult activities via live role-play stations at 'Kid-Citement'.

Areej T&C, a corporate event management company in Oman, has launched an innovative and fun experience for children during the holy month of Ramadan, says a press release.

Being held at the Markaz Al Bahja Mall till August 9, the event promises to be a child's dream to his/her future.

Held in partnership with Bank Muscat, Markaz Al Bahja, Steadler, Berger Paints, Lifeline Hospital, Al Burjeel Medical Centre and Oman Insurance Association, this edutainment event will focus on a child's ambition and hopes to offer him a first-hand experience of the corporate world. Some of the activities include bankers and customers inside a mini branch, traffic police for road safety, doctor, patient and nurse, chef, painter, construction worker, etc. Each of the activity zones will have a look and feel of that particular career.

Core ideology
The core ideology behind this edutainment event is to teach children the importance of choosing a career path in an informal and fun setting. "With schools being shut and the holy month of Ramadan, most children just sit at home and do nothing. So we thought why not create an activity for children which will also serve as an ideal platform for their future career path. This led to the birth of Kid-Citement. The whole idea is to sow a seed in their young minds of a possible career path as well as put smiles on their faces. The event is open on all days from 7pm - 11pm from July 7– August 9, 2014," said Yesha Kanabar, Business Head, Areej T&C.

Each activity will be supported and carried out in coordination with activity conductors with utmost importance to aspects of health and safety. What's more, in keeping with the spirit of the season, a part of the proceeds will be donated to Dar Al Atta'a.

"So what are you waiting for? Bring your child to Markaz Al Bahja today and watch them live their dream of becoming a doctor, pilot, banker, engineer, or a singing sensation," she added.
