Omantel Ramdan cricket: Assarain beat Al Nahda for third succesive title

Assarain defeated Al Nahda by two wickets in an exciting final to clinch the third successive title at the Omantel Ramadan Cricket Tournament organised by Pakistan Social Club on Wednesday night.
Bating first, Al Nahda scored 114 for six wickets in eight overs with Abdul Rouf top scoring with 50 runs off just 19 balls. For Assarain, KaleemUllah and Abbas claimed two wickets each.
In reply, Assarain reached the victory target off the final ball of their innings. Zeeshan smashed 54 runs off 24 balls while Kaleem Ullah scored 12 off three balls.
With 23 required off the final over, Zeeshan scored a four and six before being dismissed off the third delivery.
In comes Kaleem Ullah and dispatches the fourth ball into the gallery but missed the fifth ball.
With six required off the final ball, Kaleem kept his cool to send the ball soaring into the stands for a memorable victory and the third title in a row for his team.
Al Nahda 113 for 6 in 8 overs (Abdul Rouf 50; Kaleem Ullah 2 wkts, Abbas 2 wkts) lost to Assarain 115 for 8 (Zeeshan 54, Kaleem Ullah 12; Imran 3 wkts, Zulqarnan 3 wkts).

Player of the tournament: Abdul Rouf of Al Nahda; Best bowler: Kamran of Al Nahda; Best batsman: Ifrat Cheema of Cheema XI.
