Marginal growth in Oman's oil production

Muscat: The Sultanate's production of crude oil and oil condensates in July, 2014 stood at 29,660,034 barrels, with an average daily production of 956,775 barrels per day; a slight growth compared to the average daily production in June.

The gross crude oil exports in July 2014 stood at 28,045,039 barrel, with an average daily export of 904,679; a growth by 14.03 per cent compared to June 2014 when calculating the daily average, according to monthly statistics released by the Ministry of Oil and Gas.

As usual, the Asian markets received the biggest portion of the Omani oil exports with China topping the list of the Oman oil importers.

For the second successive month, Taiwan imports of Omani oil grew by about 20 per cent. The Thai imports of the Omani crude oil continued to increase. 

As for the oil market movement during July 2014, the average price of American crude oil in the New York Stock Exchange (Chicago) stood at $101.84 a barrel, a rise of $2.84 compared to the trading of June 2014. The average price of North Sea (Brent) in London Bourse stood at $108.34, a rise of $3.29 compared to the trading of June 2014.
