Muscat: Officials of Indian School Muscat (ISM) have released the names of those students whose outstanding academic performances have qualified them for scholarships.
These students included Sruti Suresh Nair, Lakhwinder Kaur, C. Parvathi Sadeesan, Prachi Gang, Vishesh Pradeep, Praith Sampath, Rohan Chetan Thanki, Adarsh Pai, Karthik Yatin Juwekar, Tanvi Gupta and Kruti Bipin Shah, designated as top achievers of ISM.
These students have received letters of appreciation from Smriti Irani, Minister, Human Resource Development, Government of India, for their superior performance in the CBSE Class XII examination this year.
Also, 22 students of Class XII from Indian School Muscat were recognised, including Heethesh Vhavle Naresh, Jerrin Thomas, Rahul Menon, Tanvi Gupta, Anish Rao Lakkaraju, Anushreya Preshob Kadumberi, Kartik Yetin Juwekar, Malhar Jajoo, J. Rajiv Kashyap, Rohan Chetan Thanki, Rohan Karnawat, Srujan Rajankumar Keskar, Vishesh Pradeep, Sana Shahul Hameed, Christi Sajee Varkey, Adarsh Pai, Reesha Arul, Rishikesh Jitendra Bhangre, Sukanya Meenachi Sundaram, Kevin Alex Paul, Prajith Sampath and Sanchi Gupta, who qualified for the Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) of the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE).
These students achieved a performance within the top one per cent of the Senior School Certificate Examination 2014 for Class XII, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, (CBSE) Delhi, held during the academic session ending March-April 2014.
Performance in the top one per cent in Class XII Board Examinations and enrolment into education in Basic and Natural Science courses at B.Sc./Integrated M.Sc. or M.S. levels automatically qualifies students for scholarships for Higher Education of Government of India (GOI), valued at Rs80,000 per year for five years.
