Muscat: Legendary Pakistani poetess Noshi Gilani will be performing at a poetry evening at Al Falaj Hotel on Friday, August 29.

Having successfully organised numerous memorable events like Amanullah Show, An evening with Wasi Shah and Sajjad Ali Live in Muscat, Alpha Events Oman have announced 'An evening with Noshi Gilani' as their forthcoming event.

"We invite all Urdu poetry lovers to 'An evening with Noshi Gilani', which will start at  8:30pm.

Since Noshi is coming to Oman for the first time, we expect a sizeable crowd and promise a real treat," said Fahad Awais Munir, managing director of Alpha Events and the chief organiser.

World-renowned Pakistani poetess Noshi Gilani, who is author seven poetry books and is holder of many international and national awards, will entertain the poetry lovers in Oman with her most popular ghazals and nazms. The candour and frankness of her poems is unusual for a woman writing in Urdu and she has gained a committed international audience, performing at large poetry gatherings in Pakistan, India, Australia, Canada, USA and Middle East.  

Famous Urdu poet, Suleman Jazib, who has written two poetry books and is one of the most popular poets in UAE,  will add to the charm of the family oriented literary evening with his participation.

Some of prominent local poets including Nasir Maroof, Qamar Riaz,  Mohammad Ali Fazal and Zakir Hussain Zakir will also read their works at the function.

"We are trying our best to make this event a great success," added Fahad.
