Gen Al Nu'amani receives Chinese, Turkish envoys
Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'amani, Minister of the Royal Office received in his office here yesterday Wu Jiuhong, ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Sultanate, to bid him farewell at the end of his tour of duty as his country's ambassador to the Sultanate. The ambassador expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the care extended to him from all officials in the Sultanate. The minister also received Kerem Kiratli, ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Sultanate. The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries to achieve common interests of the Sultanate and the Republic of Turkey, in addition to touching on a number of issues of common concern.
Dhofar governor hosts Gulf Blind Forum participants
Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar yesterday received heads of the delegations participating in the 9th Gulf Blind Forum, organised by Al Amal Society for the Blind. Sayyid Al Busaidi said that these meetings reflect the depth of the fraternal bonding and consistent communication among the participating states and promote the spirit of brotherhood.
Water supply in Dhahirah, Ibri to be hit for two days
Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) has announced that it would be conducting maintenance works on the pumping station in Al Dhahirah Governorate, which feeds all parts of Wilayat Ibri and the areas connected to the water networks of Houdh Al Masarraat in Wilayat Yanqul in Al Dhahirah Governorate. The work would beginning from 6:00 p.m. on Thursday and will last until 6am on Friday.
