Muscat: Al Hassan Engineering Company, one of Oman's leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor, has won a contract from Daelim-Petrofac Srip (Joint Venture) to develop a project in Sohar.
Al Hassan Engineering Company recently confirmed that it has received a letter of intent (LoI) from Daelim-Petrofac Srip to construct and pre-commission civil and underground piping works for the Sohar refinery improvement project.
The estimated value of the contract is approximately $68 million. The work is expected to be completed by April 2016. Al Hassan Engineering Company expects to generate reasonable income from this project.
The new project builds on Al Hassan Engineering Company's significant reference list in the oil, gas and petrochemical sector and is a key milestone of the company's contacting strategy.
Al Hassan Engineering has already executed projects in Sohar industrial complex like different construction packages of Sohar aromatics plant and CMEI of Oman polypropylene plant and 1000MW captive power plant of Sohar Aluminium smelter.
