MJB–Cassiopeia sustains lead

Muscat: MJB–Cassiopeia Team held onto their first place in the eighth week of the RMS and MJB Saturday Morning Ladies Bowling League at the Al Khuwair Bowling Centre.
In the opening match of the battle ended in triumph for MJB–Cassiopeia Team after they beat MJB-Lynx.

Katai Pathmanathan of MJB–Cassiopeia bowled three superb games of 189, 157, and 144 pins, and Catherine Preece also bowled three steady games of 145, 148, and 146 pins.
This strong performance gained them a total of four points.

Sue Clarkson of MJB–Lynx Team bowled three excellent games of 158, 128, and 134 pins.
However, despite her performance, she could not gain a point for her team.

The seconf game saw some excellent bowling by MJB–Draco Team which carried the day for them. Arleen Edwards of MJB–Draco Team bowled three tremendous games of 140, 175, and 129 pins, which ensured them three points. However, Leila Whaley of RMS–Pegasus Team bowled 44 pins above her average. This helped her gain a point for her team.

The last game saw Tum Daengurai of RMS-Orion Team bowl two brilliant games of 145 and 149 pins.

His performance, along with that of Barbara Crowther, who bowled 39 pins above her average, helped the team secure two points. However, Lynda Torah of RMS-Hercules Team also bowled three very good games of 142, 141, and 180 pins, respectively, which helped her team tie at two points in the end.

Standings: MJB–Cassiopeia, 21; (2) RMS–Orion, 18; (3) RMS–Pegasus, 16; (4) RMS–Draco, 15; (5) MJB–Hercules, 15; (6) MJB–Lynx, 11.
