Muscat: The tenth international exhibition of building materials, heavy construction equipment and interior furnishings, The BIG Show, will feature the biggest country pavilion in Oman exhibitions at the Oman International Exhibition Centre (OIEC) between March 17 and 20.
The Turkey pavilion, participating once again in The BIG Show, will represent more than 20 firms, taking up an exhibition space of over 475 square metres. Most of the participating companies, among which are Cesan Vinc, Dorstil, Isidem, Kasam, TMS Tufekciolu, Star Aluminyum Sanayi Ve Ticaret Ltd, Haska, Usakligil, TIC. Mus, Turan Makina, Kasso, Dekor Rulo, Namtas, will exhibit construction and industrial equipment.
"We are pleased to get the support once again of the Turkish Trade Council this year. Their increased involvement and more active participation in the show is proof of their increasing interest in conducting business and investing in Oman.
This will do much to further strengthen the already-existing bilateral relations between the two countries," said the Big Show's project manager Ebrahim Taher.
"Aside from Turkey, we also have Egypt, Germany, India, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Pakistan, Taiwan and UAE pavilions and we are expecting a really good turnout of business leads from the show," he added.
The Big Show will feature a more unique and more expansive range of industrial and construction equipment, marble, ceramic tiles and stone and interior design exhibits.
The exhibits will provide visitors from the trade to acquire business contacts for their sourcing requirements and business opportunities. Apart from the exhibition, the show will launch the first Oman Builders Forum, which will be held concurrently at the Golden Tulip Hotel between March 17 and 18.
The forum will focus on construction contracts as well as urban and building issues in Oman. It is supported by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and sponsored by Voltamp, with Atkins as its Knowledge Partner.
The BIG Show Oman holds the prestige of being the biggest and most important show for the building and construction sector in Oman.
It is internationally certified by UFI-The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. It is supported by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Oman Society of Contractors.
