Muscat: The 29th GCC Traffic Week kicked off yesterday under the theme 'Your Safety is Our Goal'.
It aims at promoting safe traffic habits among road users and compliance with the rules and regulations. In Dhofar, Sheikh Salim bin Oufait Al Shanfari, Head of Dhofar Municipality, patronised over the opening ceremony of the traffic exhibition which comprises brochures, booklets and instructional videos.
The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance is displaying a show on how to rescue the injured and trapped persons from inside vehicles, how to extinguish fire, and how to handle other equipment to deal with road accidents.
