Buildex to begin tomorrow with focus on construction

Muscat: Buildex 2013, the tenth building and construction exhibition, will open at the Oman International Exhibition Centre tomorrow under the patronage of Eng. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Dheeb, undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The three-day exhibition will be organised by Omanexpo and see participation by more than 150 building and construction companies, along with local and international participation from more than 18 countries from Turkey, Germany, Italy, Egypt, Jordan, Taiwan, Singapore and India, among other countries.   The exhibition seeks to emphasise the major progress being seen among infrastructure projects in the Sultanate as they attract large companies from around the world to review investment opportunities in Oman. The Omani government is moving ahead with expanding infrastructure projects at various levels, in line with the Sultanate's economic vision 2020. 

The exhibition will bring together many global companies specialising in air conditioning systems, sanitary and construction materials, floor ceramic tiles, cleaning equipment, management solutions, cement products, building vehicles, curtains, furniture, floor materials, as well as companies selling heavy vehicles, decorations, kitchen products, marble and stone products, drilling equipment, security and protection systems and wooden products.
