Muscat: To enhance its role in developing the exhibition industry in the Sultanate, and to position the Jewellery Exhibition (MIJEX) among prominent regional and international exhibitions, Oman International Exhibition Centre (OIEC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) to support MIJEX and strengthen trade relations between the two organizations in the gold, jewelry and gems industry.
The MoU was signed by Hassan bin Ramadhan bin Sulaiman, acting general manager, on behalf of OIEC and by TGJTA's Somchai Phornchindarak, president of TGJTA, on behalf of the Thai association.
The MoU included the encouragement of communications between the two parties in the gold and jewelry sector with the aim of developing and supporting commercial and industrial activities between businessmen in Oman and Thailand.
