Muscat:
The Royals magazine, published in Russia, has issued a report on the Sultanate, with the title The Sultanate of Oman, a Rose in the Desert. The article has touched on the achievements of the Sultanate during the Renaissance years under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
The pictorial report covers the growth of Majlis Al Shura and the activities of the Council of Oman, which is made up of the State Council and the Majlis Al Shura. It also covers their legislative and auditing powers, as well as their discussions on issues of concern for the nation and the citizens.
The report by Russian writer Serji Plekhanov, also touches on the country's cultural achievements, including the Royal Opera House and the Royal Orchestra of Oman. It also highlights His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said's annual meet-the-people tour, during which His Majesty becomes closely acquainted with the needs of the citizens and governorates, in terms of developmental services.
The report points out the uniqueness of the Sultanate and its keenness to preserve its heritage, culture, architecture and traditional markets. The Royals magazine, which first appeared in June 2012, specialises in publishing articles and reports about kings, heads of states and royal families in different parts of the world.
