Cassiopeia sustain lead

Muscat: MJB-Cassiopeia Team held onto their leaderboard standings for the tenth week of the RMS and MJB Saturday Morning Ladies Bowling League, which took place at the Al Khuwair Bowling Centre.

In the opening match, RMS-Orion won the match with some excellent bowling. Tum Daengurai of RMS-Orion bowled three outstanding games of 159, 212, and 194 pins to claim the highest series of the league and four points for her team. Samar Mukadam of RMS-Pegasus also bowled three steady games of 147, 125, and 129 pins, but it was not enough to gain a point for her team.

The second match saw some excellent bowling by MJB-Cassiopeia, which carried the day for them. Catherine Preece of MJB-Cassiopeia bowled three brilliant games of 146, 111, and 168 pins. Her performance together with that of Becky Clarke, bowling 44 pins above her average, ensured them three points. Mila Peake of RMS-Hercules bowled three good games of 122, 130, and 117 games, but this was not enough to secure a point for her team.

In the last match, Arleen Edwards of MJB-Draco bowled three tremendous games of 157, 185, and 125 pins, which won her team two points. However, Sue Clarkson of MJB-Lynx Team also bowled three excellent games of 118, 132, and 180 pins, which secured her team two points.
