Muscat
: The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) has announced that the holiday of the New Hijri year 1434 AH for all banks operating in the Sultanate will be on Saturday, November 17, 2012 and work will resume on Sunday, November 18.
As the holiday of the New Hijri year 1434 AH coincides with weekly-off of the workers at the banking sector, all banks operating in the Sultanate must compensate their workers for the above mentioned holiday.

Although the Central Bank of Oman will be closed on Thursday, some departments of the apex financial institution will be open to render their regular services for the banks during that day.
