Suhail, Nitin win bridge tourney

Muscat:
Muscat Bridge League conducted the Dhofar Cattle Feed Company sponsored duplicate bridge tournament at Ruwi Hotel recently.
The tournament was played using Howell format and had 24 players participating. Each pair played three boards against all the other pairs.
The first prize went to the pair of Suhail Khan and Nitin Vaidya. Suhail and Nitin won with an overall score of 64 per cent. The second place went to Anurag Pandey and Abdi Naffar with a score of 57 per cent.
Third in ranking was the strong pair of Gautam Mukherji and Ashok Sardhival.
They were tied for second spot with Anurag and Abdi on 57 per cent but lost out as they were beaten by their opponents on a head to head basis.
The last prize went to the pair of Jehangir Sethna and Deepak Kamath.
The prizes were distributed by K.M.S. Sreenivas, CEO of Dhofar Cattle Feeds the makers of A'Safwah Diary products.
Gautam Mukherji was the tournament director and conducted the proceedings. MBL thanked the participants and the hotel staff for the excellent conduct of the tournament. The next tournament is expected to be held on December 12
