Opening the batting Salman Rashid cracked a brilliant 87 to steer PDORC to an easy seven wicket win against OCT Mabella in a D Division match at the OAC 3 grounds.
Electing to bat OCT Mabella scored 198 for 6 at the end of their quota of 25 overs. PDORC in reply reachedd 202 for 3 off 22.3 overs.
Brief scores: OCT Mabella 198 for the loss of 6 wickets off 25 overs (Ismail Ghulam 58, Mohsin Gul Baig 44 and Khalid Ali 25no; Asad Baig 2/34 and Shakeel Arshad 2/36) lost to PDORC 202 for the loss of 3 wickets off 22.3 overs (Salman Rashid 87, Humayoun Rafiq 35, Shiv Gupta 33 and Zahid Nazir 25no). Opening the batting Skipper Amir Nelson scored a brilliant 105 to lead OUA to a three-wicket win against I-Park Auto Carparking in a Enhance sponsored F Division Group B match.
Bating first I-Park playing with 10 men did well to reach 198 for 8 off the 25 overs. Needing eight runs per over OUA replied with 201 for 7 off 22 overs.
Brief scores: I-Park 198 for the loss of 8 wickets off 25 overs (Majgaonkar Asgar 53no, Victor Henry Samuel 35, Michael J. Uday Khimji International registered a thrilling two run win against Rukon Al Yaqeen in an Oman Cricket organised G Division Group B match played
at the University ground.
Batting first Uday Khimji International mustered 180 for 8 in 25 overs. Requiring 180 for victory Rukon Al Yaqeen playing with 10 men were bowled out for 178 off 24.1 overs.
Brief scores: Uday Khimji International 180 for the loss of 8 wickets off 25 overs (Roshan Mankar 60no, Asif Iqbal 46 and Hari Prasad 21; Sathesh Menakaru 2/31 and Sweetly Vijayan 2/38) beat Rukon Al Yaqeen 178 all out off 24.1 overs (Rajesh Pai 36, Sandeep Rajan 35, Shelbbyn Michael 28 and Mayank Goyal 25; Avinash Gregory 3/44 and Amul Meshram 2/19). Al Hashim Projects win
In another G Division Group A match played at the same venue skipper Aneer Mon made a brilliant unbeaten 131 to help Al Hashim Projects record a massive 169-un win against Muscat Cricket Coaching Centre C. The win helped them stay unbeaten in the league.
Brief scores: Al Hashim Projects 282 for the loss of 4 wickets off 25 overs (Aneer Mon 131no, Sharif Pindook 70, Suraj Rao 42no and Mohammed Rashid 23; Chirag Mandaviya 3/38) defeated MCCC C 113 all out off 24.2 overs (Shoaib Parkar 28; Shaheer Najeeb 3/24 and Abdul Rauf 2/17). Points: Al Hashim Projects - 2 points (4 games – 8 points) and MCCC C - Nil points (4 games – Nil points).
