Muscat: A 22 year-old woman named Asma was brutally killed by her brother; Ibrahim, in Sidadeb area in the wilayat of Ibri last Friday.
Ibrahim, 21, allegedly used a sharp knife to kill the woman while she was mourning the loss of their grandfather, who had passed away the same evening.
Sources said Ibrahim had psychological problems and had gone into a state of depression after the demise of their grandfather. "No one has been able to diagnose his real problem though his family had consulted several hospitals in the Sultanate so far," one of their relatives told Times of Oman.
The man was caught from Meskn mountains yesterday. The deceased and her brother were students of Sultan Qaboos University and Higher College of Technology, respectively.
