Iran media hails His Majesty the Sultan's visit

The Iranian media Monday gave wide coverage to the current three-day private visit of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to the Islamic Republic of Iran, which began on Sunday.
The Kayhan Arabic newspaper said that President Dr. Hassan Rowhani of the Islamic Republic of Iran affirmed that cooperation between his country and the Sultanate is "influential and crucial" for the peace and stability in the region as Tehran seeks to follow up this policy by making collaborative efforts with other countries in the region.
The newspaper quoted the Iranian president affirming his country's desire to cement its relations with the Sultanate in various sectors and develop the bilateral relations between the two countries in the political, trade and economic areas. The Iranian president dubbed the Sultanate's position at the regional cooperation level as "excellent".
The newspaper also pointed out that His Majesty the Sultan will discuss with senior Iranian officials various means to promote bilateral cooperation and exchange of viewpoints about various regional and international issues. It added that His Majesty's visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran is the first for a head of state since President Dr. Hassan Rowhani's election as president of the Republic.
Similarly, the Aftab newspaper highlighted the major role played by His Majesty the Sultan in the mediation for the release of Iranians and Americans in the previous years. It described His Majesty as a "reliable mediator."
The Shargh and Asr Iran newspapers pointed out that His Majesty the Sultan's visit will enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields.
The Mardom Salari, in its analysis of His Majesty's visit, said that His Majesty the Sultan was always a mediator between Iran, the West and the United States, and also highlighted his efforts in ensuring the release of many Europeans and Americans detained in Iran, as well as Iranians detained in Europe and the USA.
The Arman and the Tabnak newspapers said that His Majesty the Sultan's visit to Tehran was of utmost importance as many observers expect it to result in a positive outcome as it comes at a significant time.
In its analysis of His Majesty the Sultan's visit, the Tanseem agency pointed out that this visit comes in light of the new political developments in Iran and the recent change in the policy and stance of the West towards Iran.
It affirmed that this visit will contribute in promoting the existing bilateral relations between the Sultanate and the Islamic Republic of Iran at various levels, affirming that it comes at a very important time.
