Muscat: The Takatuf Scholars Programme, an Oman Oil Company (OOC) Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, honoured this year's graduating class of the Summer Residential Programme at two ceremonies held at The Sultan's School recently.
The 72 male and female students completed an intensive, comprehensive three-week-long programme that introduced them to a number of learning tools and skills, to further develop their abilities and competencies for success in the 21st century. "Investing in today's youth is investing in the future of Oman," said Mulham Al Jarf, Deputy CEO of OOC.
He added: "The Takatuf Scholars Programme provides a unique and enriching platform for talented young Omani students to bridge the gap between academic excellence and real world experiences. We are preparing students to become successful independent lifelong learners, global citizens by fostering critical thinking and core competencies for today's rapidly changing marketplace."
