Khimji’s Watches opens service centre

Muscat: Anil Khimji, director, Khimji Ramdas and Yann Du Pasquier, area sales manager, Middle East and Greece, inaugurated the Khimji's Watches' newly redesigned service centre.

Rolex official John Lewis, world service area supervisor, Pankaj Khimji, director, Khimji's Watches and Madhursinh Jesrani, general manager, Khimji's Watches were also present on the occasion. The service centre has been designed in keeping with Rolex's latest international specifications.

The Rolex brand has been part of Khimji's suite of products since early 60s and the company is excited about this major upgrade which has just been completed. John Lewis, a designer from the hub of Rolex in Geneva, has spent time with Khimji's Watches to complete the design and to ensure that it meets the highest possible specification and standards.

It is not only Rolex watches which can be serviced at this centre, indeed all of Khimji's Watches luxury brands will be facilitated, including Cartier, Chopard, Piaget, Mikimoto, Girard Perregaux, Tudor, Oris, Frederique Constant, Bells & Ross and Caran D'ache.
When a client of Khimji's Watches visits this service centre, he is personally welcomed by Rasool Banu, after sales service executive, and is assured of a truly luxurious experience.
Designed by Rolex, the classic reception is a wonderful fusion of the deep sea and the Arabian desert, highlighting the diverse spectrums under which a Rolex timepiece can function. The reception desk, with its glass front puts you in mind of the ocean as it twinkles and glistens.

As you wait, your eye is drawn to the feature piece in the room, a backdrop which at first glance seems to be made of pure sand. However, it is what is found behind the reception area which is integral to the success of the Rolex brand as well as all of the other luxury brands which Khimji's Watches is noted for.

The service centre has four skilled watch technicians, who ensure that every Rolex piece that comes their way functions with the performance and reliability with which the brand is famous for. Khimji's watches and Rolex have created in this room a space which is as close to the factory environment in Geneva as possible.

These four watch technicians, all of whom have received specialist training in Geneva, make an impressive team.

They are Vinod Bajpe (chief watch technician), Syed Saleem and Ashok Kotian (senior watch technicians) and Irfaan Siddiqui (watch technician). The team is coordinated by Kirti Ebjee (project manager, Khimji's Watches) and John Lewis from Rolex, Switzerland.
Besides this, the service centre has a clean room to allow for a dust free environment. The polishing room houses the most top of the range polishing equipment and is the workplace of a specialist polisher who has been highly trained in his craft.

The centre houses the most technologically advanced equipment available which further assures customers of the highest level of service possible. Apart from watches, a range of branded jewellery will also benefit from the exclusive polishing facility.

Speaking about the new service centre, Anil Khimji said, "Our Rolex clientele here in Oman deserve the best. We, at Khimji's Watches proudly announce the opening of the newly designed service centre as specially designed by Rolex Switzerland.

"The new service centre at Ruwi has started in order to serve the clients in a better and efficient manner with a reception area for the clients to relax while giving and collection of the product from the service centre.

"We have made this investment to ensure that our customers receive the highest calibre service that we can offer. Indeed, so aware are we of the preciousness of these timepieces to their owners that we can give them an estimation of the repair time as soon as they arrive to the centre.

"Technicians are always available to our clients to answer any questions they may have and to give them a complete sense of comfort when leaving their watch for repair."
He went on to explain, "We approached Rolex and expressed our need for a top of the range service centre here in Oman.

"They didn't disappoint us, they sent us the best designers they have to work with us on getting to where we are now. John Lewis worked with us every step of the way to create a space which perfectly meets the ethos of Rolex, precision, reliability and luxury."
Madhursinh Jesrani, said, "We are proud to have highly trained watch technicians. Every year they attain special training in Switzerland and understand the steps involved in the complete overhaul service.

"After sales is key to our customers continued satisfaction and we work hard to provide an outstanding after sales service to the clients at Khimji's Watches."
