Posthumous honour for MPPH Group founder

: Muscat Film Production and Distribution Company LLC, in collaboration with Jai Hind TV (India), will showcase a compilation of Indian and Omani culture at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel in Muscat tomorrow.
Muscat Film Production & Distribution Company LLC is the franchisee of Jaihind TV in Oman and is led by Salim Saleem Salim Al Busaidi and Dr J. Retnakumar is the honorary chairman of Jai Hind TV Franchisee Operations in Oman.
There will be a cultural show by Omani and Indian artistes. Leading Omani and Indian dignitaries who have excelled in the fields of art, social work, medicine, etc., will be honoured on the occasion.
"We also look forward to strengthening the already existing strong ties between Oman and India and what better way to do so than share the rich cultures existing among our people," said Dr J. Retnakumar, chairman of the organising committee. Acclaimed artistes, such as classical dancer Asha Sharath and kathak dancer Jumpa Chakraborty will be performing on the occasion.
Al Takht Al Sharqi, famous for blending eastern and western music, will also enthral the audiences. Government officials and popular film and television personalities from both the countries will grace the occasion.
Union Minister K. V. Thomas from India will be the chief guest while Indian Ambassador J. S. Mukul will be the guest of honour.
The event is being managed by Axis Events & MuscatEventz.com. The programme will start at 7.30pm and entry will be by invitation only.
The people who will be honoured at the Jai Hind Jai Oman Event on September 13, 2013 at Al the Bustan Palace Hotel are:
1) Bridget Ganguly for her contribution to Social Service.
2) Dr P. C. Alexander for his contribution to Community Health Services.
3) Girija Backer for her contribution towards Promotion of Art.
4) Dr Khalid Al Zadjali for contribution to the Film Society.
5) Tariq Al Barwani for contribution to the IT Sector.
6) Maryam Al Zadjali for Promoting Art
7) Anvwar Al Balushi for his contribution towards Leadership and Posthumous honour for the late Essa bin Mohammed Al Zedjali, founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Times of Oman and Chairman of the MPPH Group.
