OCS Infotech holds workshop on Microsoft retail solutions

OCS Infotech held a workshop on Microsoft Dynamics AX for retail players in Muscat and around solution. The event was held on 11th September 2012. Retailers like Al Khamis shoes, Muscat Pharmacy, Bell Tell & Lulu Hypermarket participated in the workshop.
OCS's technology partners, Dubai-based CEM Business Solutions, gave demonstrations and explained the benefits of the software. Microsoft Dynamics AX offers retailers a complete point of sale solution that can be adapted to meet customised requirements. The software provides centralised control for multi-store retailers and integrates with Microsoft Office system programs.
Microsoft Dynamics practice Head Suresh Pani , OCS, said, "The software will help retailers to scale up solutions and increase profit. For instance, the software takes care of expired product allotment and sends a reminder before the expiry date.
"It gives you an opportunity to see which product is doing well and which lags behind."Khalidal Alawi, deputy general manager, Al Khamis Shoes, said, "The workshop has been very informative and we plan to implement it once we are convinced. It is software that can cater to the needs of any business."
