: The mouth-watering Omantel Professional League (OPL) clash between Fanja and Al Nasr turned out to be a drab affair with teams sharing the spoils in a goalless draw at the Seeb Stadium yesterday.
Speaking after the match, Fanja coach Hicham Jardane said: "It was one of those tough days and a challenging match for us. I think both the sides played well aiming to score."
The Spanish coach said a two-week break before they play their next game will give his side a good time to prepare.
"It will certainly help us to do well in our upcoming games," he added. Four Al Nasr players received yellow cards during the game.
"It was frustrating to see four of our players being given yellow cards. We hope to play well in our next game," said an Al Nasr spokesperson.
Fanja next play Saham on October 18 while Al Nasr play Al Ithihad on October 19.
In the second match of double header at Seeb Stadium, Al Nahda defeated league champions Suwaiq 2-1.
Mohammed Illai scored the first goal for Al Nahda in the 25th minute of first half and Mohammed Al Mashaiki scored the second goal in the 85th minute.
Mohamme Rabe'ea was the lone scorer for Suwaiq during the injury time. Meanwhile at Sur Sports Complex, Sur stunned Saham for a 2-1 victory.
In the fifth week action beginning October 18, Sohar plays Suwaiq, Seeb meets Al Musannah and Shabab takes on Majees.
