The Civil Service Council yesterday held its meeting under the chairmanship of Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and Chairman of the Civil Service Council.
The council hailed the Royal Orders of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said about standardising the grades and salaries schedules for the civil service employees and considering the standardisation of pension benefits as per the pension system of the Diwan of Royal Court's employees.
The Royal Orders also provide for studying the Civil Service Law and other service laws in force in the different administrative units of the state and standardise these as per one civil service law.
The council also discussed a number of applications from some governmental units including applications from some of the employees abroad to combine the basic salary the employee receives from his work agency and the salary he receives from the agency he is deputed to, as per the provisions of the Civil Service Law and its executive regulation.
The council also reviewed a number of statistical indicators prepared by the Ministry of Civil Service on the status of the civil service sector.
