Website on GCC leaders launched

Muscat: Under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq Al Said, Representative of His Majesty the Sultan and on the occasion of the 34th GCC Summit to be held in Kuwait this week, a unique website of the GCC leaders was launched as an initiative of HM's website.

The inauguration was attended by Saif bin Mohammed Al Abri, Secretary-General of the Office of His Majesty the Sultan's Representative, Khalifa bin Hamad Al Badi, Adviser at the Office of His Majesty the Sultan's Representative and Saif bin Ahmed Al Sawafi, Adviser at the Office of His Majesty the Sultan's Representative, Jasim Abu Marzooq, representatives of Kuwait's embassy in Muscat and Hamoud Al Azri, General Supervisor of HM's website.

Sayyid Asaad lauded the development of the website, which features an open interface that introduces a visitor to the remarkable achievements this country has made and the character of His Majesty the Sultan. Sayyid Asaad wished every success for HM's website.

Jassim Abu Marzouk, the acting Kuwaiti ambassador accredited to the Sultanate, hailed the initiative saying he was very happy with the participation of Hamoud Al Azri.

Hamoud Mohammed Al Azri, General Supervisor of HM's website, said, "On behalf of the Omani people, we are very happy to launch the GCC Leader initiative along with the 34th GCC Summit. As a token of admiration, a youngster from the Sultanate has come out with a unique website dedicated to the leaders. The comprehensive website sheds light on the leaders' qualities and their personal traits that made them excel in life to become statesmen."

He added: "This website attempts to bring to light the importance of the  GCC's blessed march forward and the outcome of the fraternal meetings binding the GCC leaders in realising the aspirations of their peoples."
