ONEIC bags two contracts

Oman National Engineering & Investment Co (ONEIC) has won a contract from Mazoon Electricity Company for building a 2x20 MVA primary substation at Barkat Al Moaz near Nizwa with total amount of OMR840,000 and another contract from Mazoon Electricity Company for building a 3x20 MVA primary substation at Samail with total amount of OMR780,000, according to a disclosure statement posted on MSM website. The construction period for the first project is ten months, while the second one will take twelve months to complete.

Al Fajar wins two sub-contracts

Al Fajar Group has been awarded two sub-contracts from main contractors for building roads. The first one is for drilling and blasting works for the construction of Wadi Miah Road given by Arabian Projects & Transport Co (Oman). It is worth OMR4 million and will take two years to complete. The second one is blasting works at dualisation of existing Mahdah-Al Rawdha Road in Buraimi, by Premier International Projects. The total cost of the project is OMR2 million and will take 26 months to complete. 

Tethys Oil's appraisal update

The appraisal programme on the recently discovered structure in Block 4 onshore the Sultanate (B4EW4) continues with another very successful well. The sixth well (B4EW4-6) on the structure, flows in excess of 3,000BOPD on a 34/64 inch choke from the Lower Buah reservoir section of the Nafun carbonate group.
