ECT Dubai lead 4-0 against GCC

Emirates Cricket Training Dubai (ECT Dubai) won a last ball thriller to take a 4-0 lead in the five-match Oman Day cricket series against hosts Gulf Cricket Centre (GCC) yesterday.

Batting first, GCC piled up 272 for four in 30 overs thanks to an unbeaten century by Vipin Sebastian and a 61-run knock by Basit Barkat.

But ECT Dubai launched a brilliant attack to score the winning runs off the last ball. ECT Dubai's Vipin Joseph, who hit an unbeaten 90, was declared the man of the match.  The fifth match of the series will be played today.

Brief scores: Gulf Cricket Centre 272 for 4 in 30 overs (Vipin Sebastian 106 n.o., Basit Barkat 61; Abdul Wasay 3/29) lost to Emirates Cricket Training Dubai 273 for 6 in 30 overs (Swithin Joseph 90 n.o., Mahadin 38, Vishal Motiraj 58; Hari 3/25).
