Oman oil selling price rises to $107.88 for February
Oman crude oil will sell for $107.88 a barrel in February, according to the average of daily futures settlement prices this month on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME). That's up $1.91, or 1.8 per cent, from January's $105.97. The February contract settled at $108.58 Dubai time yesterday. Oman crude's official selling price has been pegged to the monthly average on the DME since June 2007.
Fincorp Oman fund to be dissolved and liquidated
An extraordinary general meeting (EGM) of Fincorp Oman Private Equity Fund was held on December 30. At the EGM, the unit holders have unanimously decided to dissolve and liquidate the fund and appointed Abu Timam Grant Thornton as liquidator to the fund. Fincorp is an investor and fund manger of the Fincorp Oman Private Equity Fund. This decision will not have any material impact on the last reported financial position of the company.
