ITF chief arrives to warm welcome

Francesco Ricci Bitti, the president of International Tennis Federation (ITF), arrived in Muscat on a private visit yesterday.
Bitti received a red-carpet welcome from Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) and Oman Tennis Association (OCA) at the VIP arrival lounge of Muscat International Airport.
Taha Al Kishry, general secretary of OOC along with OTA chief and OOC treasurer Muttassim Al Zadjali received Bitti upon his arrival yesterday.
The ITF chief will be here in Muscat for three days during which he will hold talks with several top officials including Minister of Sports Affairs Sheikh Saad bin Mohammed Al Saadi and Oman Olympic Committee Khalid Al Zubair.
Bitti's visit though is a personal visit; the OTA officials will share their vision and their plans for the development of the sport in the country.
