Oman, Brunei ministers hold talks



Muscat: Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah received in his office here on 20 January Lim Jock Seng, second minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Brunei Darussalam and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting the Sultanate.

The meeting discussed various aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries and the means of enhancing them. The meeting also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern.

The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, secretary-general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a number of senior officials at the Foreign Ministry. From the Brunei side, it was attended by Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar, energy minister at prime minister office and Dato Dr Haji Besar bin Haji Abu Bakar, ambassador of Brunei to the Sultanate.

Meanwhile, the 14th session of political consultations between the Sultanate and Brunei Darussalam was also held yesterday.

The two sides discussed various aspects of cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing them to serve the joint interests of the two friendly countries and peoples, besides exchanging viewpoints on a number of regional and international issues of common
concern.
