"The National Day is a very special occasion for every resident in the Sultanate and the road show to celebrate this has been an equally special event," Khalfan bin Rashid Al Tal'ey, DGM — Retail Banking, Bank Sohar, said.
"The 42nd National Day is an occasion to celebrate the progress achieved by the Sultanate under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said during the past four decades. It is also a day to acknowledge the support and cooperation of everybody in the progress of the nation and also to work together in unison to achieve further prosperity in the years to come," Al Tal'ey said.
"The objective of organising the road show convoy is to carry the message of the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2012 to every corner of the country. The bank organises such events to interact in person, renew its relationship in addition to strengthening communication with its customers.
"These shows also help in creating awareness about the upcoming fourth quarter and the year-end bumper draws along with other banking products. With preparations underway for Bank Sohar's fourth quarter prize draws, we take every effort to raise the awareness of our valued customers regarding the year-end grand prize of RO500,000 that is awaiting the lucky customers. In addition, the customers can participate in the prize draws worth RO1 million to be distributed as daily prizes of RO5,000 each throughout the year. All that the customers need to do is to save money with Bank Sohar, which will entitle them to participate in these draws," Al Tal'ey said.
Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme offers more for customers on their savings. The scheme offers more home luxuries, more travel destinations, more driving pleasures and more shopping sprees.
To participate in the daily draw of RO5,000 customers need to maintain a minimum average balance of RO100 for a period of 30 days in their savings account preceding the draw date. For the year-end RO500,000 draw for the month of December, the minimum average monthly balance required is RO1,000, while for the exclusive prize of RO100,000 the balance should be RO10,000.
