IT'S guaranteed to bring a frown to the breakfast table cracking into a boiled egg to find it's overdone. But the misery of a hard yolk is about to become a thing of the past thanks to a nifty new gadget.
Russian inventors have come up with the an egg which cooks itself to perfection while still in the carton. The 'Gogol Mogol' is a single cardboard egg box with chemical layers that produce heat when activated.
After pulling a tag the packages starts to warm up cooking the egg for up to three minutes. It avoids the need to boil a pan of water and allows busy people to work on an egg at their desk or on the move.
