Muscat:
The fifth and final round of the Oman Rally Championship 2012 will be held on Thursday and Friday at Muscat.
The rally organised by the Oman Automobile Association with support from Royal Oman Police, Ministry of Sport Affairs and Ministry of Tourism is sponsored by Oman Expo, Al Qabaas Printing Press and Al Watan. This round of the rally will be held along with the Oman International Motor Exhibition which will be accompanied by the Motor Show.
This round comes on the heels of the successfully conducted Oman Rally held in various Wilyats of Oman throughout the year.
The Super Special Stage on Thursday, will be of 3km and will be at the Oman International Exhibition Centre. The scrutiny of rally cars will be held on Thursday.
The first stage will be at Misfah which is 14km and the second will be at Saih Al Ahmer which is another 14km which will end at Al Khoud Village. Each Super Special Stage will be done three times to decide the champion.
Al Wahaibi who is leading Khalid Soomar by four points and Khalid Al Minji by five points, is not letting his guard down as he is tipped to win the championship.
