Muscat: The Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), in cooperation with the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA), is organising a three-day international conference on the Omani Role in East Africa.
Fourty participants are taking part in the conference that starts today, including 14 from the Sultanate, and others from the US, the UK, Tanzania, Italy, Holland, Canada, Morocco and Algeria. The conference will focus on Omani migration and its impact on internal and external level and the role of Al Ya'ariba in defeating the Portuguese.
