Muscat: The Agricultural Census 2012/2013 has started in a number of governorates and wilayats across Oman. The census is being carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
The census began in the Wilayat of Liwa in North Al Batinah Governorate with the participation of 18 enumerators and data collectors who will be visiting agricultural holdings, animal pens and other rural sites. The census also started in the Wilayat of Sohar in North Al Batinah Governorate and in the Wilayat of Al Awabi in South Al Batinah Governorate.
