New India Assurance organises customers meeting in Salalah



Muscat: New India Assurance Company, Salalah Operations has celebrated its glorious achievements of retaining the No. 1 position as the best brand among all the insurance companies in Oman in a recent brand survey.

The celebrations was organised in a fabulous function held recently at Dhofar Ballroom, Crowne Plaza Resort, Salalah in the presence of invited dignitaries and their valued clients. 
The celebration was attended by Sheikh Mohammed Ahmed Al Rawas, head of Information Office, Ministry of Information, Dhofar governorate as the chief guest.

K. V. Francis, chief operating officer — Oman Operations, has expressed his sincere thanks to the valued customers and the entire NIA Oman team especially the Salalah Operations for achieving and maintaining the No. 1 position in the insurance category.  He also conveyed his thanks and regards to the chief agent for the support and cooperation during the long business association since 1974.  

Francis in his address briefed that NIA a 93-year-old company is the largest and financially strong non-life global insurance company and is a pioneer among Indian insurance companies on several counts — to say, insuring the first domestic airline to satellite insurance. 'New India' has been rated "A" (Excellent) by AM Best Co., USA for the last nine consecutive years in succession, based on superior capital position, excellent liquidity, strong operating performance and highest solvency margin and recently the rating has been upgraded. New India has become the first insurance company in India to secure the highest financial strength rating 'AAA' from Credit Rating Information Services of India Ltd (Crisil).

The rating reflects the highest financial strength of the company to meet policy holder's obligations. 'New India' is also a member of the Association of British Insurance (ABI), London Insurance and Re-insurance Market Association (LRMA) and the Institute of London Underwriters (ILU).

"New India-Oman's growth, since its entry in 1974, has been steady. The reputation of being one of the most customer friendly insurance company in Oman has put 'New India' with an additional responsibility to serve the Oman market in their insurance needs with our ever improving all round customer service. On net premium retention basis 'New India' enjoys the No. 1 position in Oman insurance market," Francis said.

Francis further said, "New India Assurance is in the forefront of offering unique insurance products and best customer services. 'New India' is the only company in Oman offering health insurance cover with renewal facilities in India. 

"New India's family/individual health policy can be renewed in India with all continuity benefits. It is a boon to expatriates returning to India at a higher age.

"New India-Oman have a very good customer base — large, medium and small corporate clients as well as cash customers — which we have retained over these years.

"We build up good and strong relationship and we intend to retain our reputation of being one of the most customer friendly insurance companies here in Oman.
