Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has sent a cable of condolences to President Barak Obama of the United States of America on the victims of the shooting at Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut. In his cable, His Majesty expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to President Obama, the people of the USA and the families of the victims.
His Majesty the Sultan has also sent a cable of condolences to President Mohammad Zillur Rahman of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on the death of the former president of Bangladesh Professor Iajuddin Ahmed. In his cable, His Majesty expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to President Zillur Rahman, the bereaved family and the people of Bangladesh.
