Al Faisal clinch Rusaylians Cup

Muscat: Al Faisal lifted the Rusaylians Cup when they defeated Zangira XI in the final which was conducted at the National Gas ground at Rusayil.

With a brilliant 42 runs from 16 balls Moshin helped Al Faisal beat Zangira XI by 41 runs. Winning the toss and electing to bat Al Faisal scored 111 runs for the loss of 1 wicket.
Set a mammoth target Zangira XI in reply managed to score 70 for the loss of six wickets.

Earlier in the first semifinal clash Al Faisal beat Al Khoudh CC by six wickets AKCC winning the toss and electing to bat were bowled all out for 54 with an outstanding spell of bowling by Salim of Al Faisal who finished with figures of 4 for 2 runs including a hat-trick. Needing 55 runs to win Al Faisal chased down the target in 5.4 overs not before losing four wickets. In the other semifinal Zangira XI trounced Ithihad XI by six wickets to book a spot in the final. Mohsin (Al Faisal) was awarded the Man of the Final, Man of the Series and Best Batsman trophy. Irtaza of Al Faisal was adjudged the Best Bowler.
