"In spring, we were honoured by the Omani government's active participation in the Yeosu Expo held in Korea between May and August. The Omani pavilion won the gold prize for theme development. And in June, for the first time, Sultan Qaboos University sent some of its students to the Republic of Korea. The university sends top students to foreign countries during summer vacation. And last month, the third meeting of the Oman-Korea Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation was held in Seoul."
Referring to the new chancery of Oman's embassy in Seoul, he said, "The beautiful Omani-style building has become a landmark in the downtown Seoul."
He added: "This year marks the 50th anniversary of the First Five-Year Economic Plan of Korea. Taking this opportunity, I would like to express our gratitude to all of you for your encouragement and support for Korea."
