An allround performance by Abishek Ramesh helped Indian School Muscat A to a seven wicket win against Pakistan School Muscat. T
he Al Turki Enterprises sponsored 25 overs a side Junior League U-16 match was played at the Municipality Ground No.1 at Al Amerat.
Electing to bat PSM lost wickets at regular intervals and were bowled out for 117 off 21 overs.
ISM 'A' aided by a 60 run third wicket partnership between Abishek and Harshit helped the score to 118 for the loss of three wickets off 15.5 overs.
Brief scores: PSM 117 all out off 21 overs (Waqar Ahmed 29, Danish Shuja 26no and Ifthikar Ahmed 24; Abishek Ramesh 3/20, Harshit 2/16 and Akshay Ashok 2/36) lost to ISM 'A' 118 for the loss of 3 wickets off 15.5 overs (Abishek Ramesh 55 and Harshit 20no; Ali Shahid 2/20). Points: ISM 'A' – 5 points (5 games – 25 points) and PSM - Nil points (5 games – 15 Points).
ISM senior team recorded a seven wicket win against ISWK in a Khimji Ramdas sponsored 25 over Junior League Under-19 match played at the same venue.
Deciding to bat ISWK were restricted to 159 for 8 at the end of of 25 overs. ISM requiring 160 for a win scored at 10 runs per over to reach their target in 16 overs losing three wickets.
Brief scores: ISWK 159 for the loss of 8 wickets off 25 overs (Mohammed Shaijad K. 92; Mohammed Shehzad Khan 3/34) lost to ISM 160 for the loss of 3 wickets off 16 overs (Sanjot Singh 52no, Navneeth Sadasivan 35 and Yash Raj 29). Points: ISM – 5 points (5 games – 15 points) and ISWK - Nil points (6 games – 9 Points).
Bangladesh School Muscat recorded a 32 run win against Indian School Muscat B in an Al Turki Enterprises sponsored Junior League Under-16 tournament 25 over match played at the Ground No.3 at Al Amerat.
Batting first BDSM scored 142 for 6 at the end of 17 overs ISM 'B' requiring 143 for a win were restricted to 110 for 9 at the end of their quota of 17 overs.
Brief scores: BDSM 148 for the loss of 6 wickets off 17 overs (Mohammed Asif Uddin 42, Mohammed Golam Zilani 34, Abu Saleh Musha 26 and Mahbub Hassan 22; Sukhmeet Singh 2/22) defeated ISM 'B' 110 for the loss of 9 wickets off 17 overs (Wasim Ali 29 and Varun Anand 27; Sharior Nur Fahim 2/13, Arfadul Alam 2/15, Mohammed Solaiman 2/21 and Abu Saleh Musha 2/27). Points: BDSM - 5 points (7 games – 28 points) and ISM 'B' - Nil points (5 games – 15 points).
