Riyadh: The Omani Products Fair opened on Sunday night in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the participation of more than 50 Omani companies, under the auspices of Dr Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabeeah, Saudi Commerce and Industry Minister.
Dr. Salim bin Nasser Al Ismaili, Chairman of Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development( PAIPED), and other top officials were also present. The fair showcased Omani products and services for investors in the Saudi market.
The exhibition also aims to strengthen the Oman-Saudi trade ties by introducing Saudi investors to Omani products and utilising the business potential and opportunities in Oman.
The exhibition also aims to highlight the diversity of Omani products, which over the years have gained stature in the global market. The exhibition is hosting manufacturing and pioneering companies in various sectors in Oman, such as food and beverage sector, textiles and fabrics, perfumes, cosmetics, pharmacy, agriculture, logistics and general services.
Ayman bin Abdullah Al Hassani, Chairman of the Organising Committee of Omani Products Fair, said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the largest and most important economies in the region. The exhibition also aims at contributing significantly to economic growth and diversification in the Gulf market.
Al Hassani said that the fair aims to open new markets and explore the various possibilities of investment that will generate returns on both sides.
The exhibition is being organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates, and the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development and will continue for four days from December 24-27. It is being held at Riyadh International Centre for Conferences and Exhibitions.
