Salalah Nair Service Society gets inaugurated formally

Salalah:
Salalah Nair Service Society (Salalah NSS) celebrated its inaugural function and Mannam Jayanthi celebration on January 11, 2013 to mark the 136th birth anniversary of Bharatha Kesari, Padmabhushan Mannathu Padmanabhan, prominent social reformer, freedom fighter and founder leader of Nair Service Society.
Dr M. Sasikumar, treasurer of NSS-Kerala who was the chief guest of Salalah NSS inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional lamp. The oath of NSS was administered by joint treasurer of Salalah NSS, Unni B. Pillai and was repeated by the people gathered.
A welcome speech was delivered by Dr Shaji P. Sridhar, cultural convenor and an inaugural address was given by the chief guest. Harikumar, who voluntarily represented Salalah NSS as its coordinator in Kerala, praised Nairs in Salalah. P. R. Sreekumar, president of Salalah NSS, Santosh Ambady, general-secretary of Salalah NSS and Girijavallabhan Nair, treasurer of Salalah NSS addressed the audience.
Dr Prathapchandran Nair, asst secretary of Salalah NSS rendered the Nair Prabhandham. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dilraj Nair. Thereafter, a scintillating cultural event was staged at the ISC auditorium, Salalah.
