Muscat: The work team formed by the Ministry of Manpower and the General Federation of the Trade Union of the Sultanate continued its visits to a number of oil concession areas to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Labour Law, compliance of safety by-laws at these installations and to review the status of workers and work environment in oil and gas installations.
During the last two days, the team visited nine installations in Fahud area namely, Al Barwani, Halliburton, Oman Construction, Special Technical Services, ME for Wells Digging Services, Al Ghalbi International, Tawoos Industrial Services, Atila Dogan and Delma Energy companies. The team spotted many violations of the laws a and more than 50 violating workers were detected.
